Sarah is a born Hoosier with a little mix of the Deep South. She spent her early childhood in central Indiana before being whisked away by her parents to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and eventually the New Orleans suburbs. The great southern adventure came to a close on her 17th birthday, when her parents loaded up the U-HAUL and pulled out of town in the middle of a hurricane.
After graduating high school two years later, Sarah attended DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. There she studied English Writing and took part in the Media Fellows honors program. She worked at both the campus radio station and the campus newspaper and learned how to perfect a cheesy smile in a sorority. Her internships included a full semester in the sales department of three Nashville, TN, radio stations and a brief but worthwhile stint at Indianapolis Woman magazine.
Following her May 2011 graduation, Sarah launched a stationery design business, On a Good Note Designs and founded twentysomething Indy. She’s also venturing into the world of freelance writing. When she’s not designing or writing, she’s busy catching up on reading magazines and books, watching her favorite TV shows (How I Met Your Mother, anyone?) and entertaining the family cats: the ever-stubborn Snickers and ornery Squeaks.
She enjoys television and film, art, cities, pop culture, music, history, and really amazing cheesecake.
